Having four sticks of RAM labeled "DIMMs" at a speed of 3600 MHz isn't rare for Ryzen chips. The safest move is to stick with one kit containing either four sticks of 8GB or two sets of 16GB, which matches what's recommended. You might also run into trouble if your processor really doesn't get along when the memory runs at that exact speed and you try swapping out different RAM kits for it.

I didn't know from what you said whether using either kit alone would work well at 3600Mhz. How did you install the RAM? You should put the first kit in slots 2 and 4, and the second one in slots 1 and 3.

Uh-huh, I have no idea how I set this up. It feels like a magic guess. Is there a way to see which chip or stick does what? I'm ready to try testing every single one separately once I finish updating my BIOS.

I looked at my old Corsair Vengeance kit, and I found out that matching parts usually mean the same thing based on the numbers on them. The sticks in slot 2 and 4 were one type, while slots 1 and 3 were another. You probably want to use sticks from the exact same kit but make sure they are all in the same channel.

So sorry for not being active here, life got in the way and i moved. I set up ny pc a few weeks ago (same specs nothing changed) and started googling and playing with ram voltages and frequencies I found out that this is a super common issue for r9 5950x and that its only rated for dual channel memory and quad channel 3600 is almowt unheard of. Ive managed to tune my ram to 3200mhz with voltages sitting at 1.38v I dont know if i can get any more hmz out of them without memtest5 throwing a few errors. The sticks do have lifetime warranty but id rather keep them at 3200mhz than to send it back to the store and get 100€ back from it (the current market is crazy) Does anyone have any suggestions ln what to do? Id love to have the ram be stable at 3200-3400 and higher if plausible! Thanks to everyone who has helped me, you guys are awesome! 💪🏼

You are spending too much effort for such a small change. Stick with your current apps and don't rely on memtest unless you need this machine for important jobs. The RAM should work fine for some time, and sometimes it's cheaper to just buy a new motherboard than to replace the memory sticks.
