The PC tends to freeze occasionally after closing games. Audio stops working for non-clickable elements, but the mouse continues moving. This occurs intermittently enough to raise concerns. While drafting this for the first time, I realized I needed to grab water and when I returned, the system was slow—taking about ten seconds for the mouse to respond. It didn’t stabilize after waiting ten minutes, so I had to power it off manually. I’ve faced many issues with my new PC and previously shared some troubleshooting steps. I’m unsure what to do and would really appreciate any advice or help.

Earlier I faced several challenges with configuring my RAM and XMP settings. It wasn’t possible to reach speeds below 2900Mhz. Although my CPU reaches a maximum of 3200MHz, initially XMP didn’t support 3100Mhz. After updating the chipset, BIOS, and firmware, it now works at 3100Mhz. I suspect the RAM might still be the problem. I can monitor voltage levels and adjust it between 1.4 volts. I didn’t notice issues when XMP was off, but it seemed most stable at 2199Mhz. It would be frustrating to spend a lot of money only for my RAM to perform so poorly. I’d have preferred non-optimized AMD RAM. Thanks for the advice! It’s helpful.
The setup I’m considering includes a M.2 drive as the boot drive, an SSD for games, and an HDD for media and backups. Would switching the HDD to a faster drive or keeping it idle still ensure continuous operation? I usually don’t shut things down; it mainly serves as storage for my GameCube, Wii Cleanrip files, and video capture data. Steam games that freeze appear to stop running on the SSD.
Another note: I’m unsure why my PC keeps having random problems. I removed my Astro A50 from the charging setup, and all USB devices disconnected unexpectedly. They had to be recognized again by Windows. It feels like I’m dealing with many minor stability issues.
When someone discusses this subject, I addressed it. Turning off the debug logging resolved the issue. It seems this occurs frequently in League and Valorant, possibly connected to anti-cheat systems. After disabling it, I experienced no freezing of windows applications during extended gameplay and tested it over a week.
