Restart Chrome – it’s usually set to work automatically. A reset might clear issues and restore defaults. Visit your motherboard maker’s site for guidance.

I restarted Chrome once more and deleted all extensions, but the issue persisted even after starting fresh.

I restored my router and for a moment the connection was 200mb/s, which is puzzling since it quickly dropped below 1mb/s again. I think this might be related to my ISP, but I’m unsure why it’s affecting just my PC.

I performed a speed test via the ISP site and achieved excellent results. It looks like Google isn’t prioritizing the fastest or most efficient server, which creates issues for me.

This appears to be using Google’s speed test tool when searching for speed tests on google.com. Such methods are often questionable because the servers may not be close to you. Sites like SpeedTest.net/Ookla and fast.com provide more stable results since they typically host servers nearer your location, even within your ISP’s network.

I've tried Ookla before and it provides solid speeds, but it looks like Google isn't using the correct servers. For instance, YouTube videos often lag and can't play smoothly at 1080p.

Located the answer after exploring, realizing I wasn't alone in this issue. Many others have faced similar challenges related to Intel's network chipsets and Verizon's ISP services.
