Hello, I’ve been facing this unusual issue lately and am trying to understand what’s causing it or how to resolve it. Usually, I’m in a Valorant match and occasionally—sometimes just once per game, though it varies—I experience a freeze. During that moment, I can’t move, but my character does, and I can hear my teammates, but they don’t pick up my voice. My monitor’s FPS display fluctuates around 1, then the freeze occurs. Every time this happens, I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del, open Task Manager, or press Windows key + Esc. Doing so forces me to repeat the action because it locks my character in a crouch and requires another cycle. This keeps happening, which is really frustrating.
My PC specs are: MSI Z390 Ace motherboard, Intel i9-9900K CPU, GeForce RTX 2080 Super with cooler, water cooling setup, Asus ROG Strix LC 360 liquid cooler, RAM Trident Z RGB 8x2 DDR4-4000 CL15, 1TB NVMe SSD, 6TB HDD, 1000W gold power supply.
I’ve had other random freezes before, but these are more frequent and disruptive. I’m concerned about the game freezes since they’re affecting my experience. I built this system myself and was expecting some issues, but this is unexpectedly annoying. If you have any advice or a solution, please let me know—I’d really appreciate it. This is making it hard to enjoy playing.
Check any unusual programs running quietly or related to your motherboard. In the past, if you opened a game like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Easy Tune (a Gigabyte tool), the system might crash. Try reinstalling Windows. Sorry, I'm trying to assist. The issue seems to occur only with this game?
