Help with Ryzen 3 1300x OC
Hello Everyone!
I'm just starting out with overclocking and will be setting up my new budget build for Christmas. I plan to boost both my GPU and CPU speeds. I have four case fans paired with a 240mm AIO liquid cooler, making a total of six fans. I’m looking for advice on suitable clock speeds and voltages for my CPU and the appropriate core and memory clock settings for my GPU.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1300x
GPU: EVGA GTX 1050ti SSC
MOBO: MSI B350 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC
Cooler: DEEPCOOL CAPTAIN 240EX WHITE AIO Liquid CPU Cooler
Fans: Corsair Air Series AF120 (x2) / Corsair Air Series SP120 120mm White LED (x2)
RAM: Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 2400 16GB (2 x 8GB) White
PSU: CORSAIR CX series CX550 550W
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400 Tempered Glass White
Storage: TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 1TB 7200 RPM / Sandisk 240gb SSD

The maximum voltage I'd use is 1.4v, and you should be fine with 3.9ghz without any problems.
Also, why did you choose an AIO? With that budget you could have bought a Ryzen 1600 and overclocked it to 3.8ghz on the original cooler.
TechyInAZ:
I’d max out to 1.4v, should be fine to reach 3.9ghz without problems.
By the way, why did you buy an AIO? With that budget you could’ve bought a Ryzen 1600 and overclocked it to 3.8ghz on the stock cooler.
For the games I play—League of Legends, CSGO, Fortnite, and general esports—I really don’t need much more than a 1050ti and r3 1300x OC. I went for a black/white theme build for looks, is it a waste of money... maybe D:
