Help with ram frequency
Hello, I see you're experiencing an issue with your BIOS recognizing your new RAM incorrectly. It sounds like the BIOS might not be set up to handle the 3200 MHz frequency of your new stick. Since you already have other RAM installed at different speeds, it’s possible there’s a compatibility or configuration problem. Please review your BIOS settings and ensure the correct frequency is selected for all your RAM modules. If the issue persists, consider checking the RAM specifications in the manual or contacting your manufacturer for further assistance. Your attached picture of the BIOS will be helpful for diagnosis.
Everything is fine. The 3200 will serve as an XMP setting and may not remain consistent with the current mixed configuration.
you should move the 4GB stick in the same channel as the 8GB stick to the empty slot, this way you'll get full 16GB in dual channel. XMP profile isnt applied or detected automatically, you will have to enable XMP to see it (not sure if mismatched sticks will ruin it)
