Help with overheating ASUS M415DA
I’ve heard from someone with an ASUS m415da that it often overheats, so I replaced the CPU and updated the drivers. Both changes helped somewhat, but the machine still stays around 40-50°C when idle. On YouTube, I found a video where someone disassembled a similar laptop and noticed it had a heat sink that my model lacks. I located a matching part and think it could fit. I’m curious if anyone knows how to install it or if there are ways to improve cooling. I’ll include a photo of the heatsink and the product number below. Thanks in advance!
It overheats in specific situations, such as high workload or environmental stress. To identify overheating, look for signs like increased temperature readings, unusual behavior, or warning indicators provided by the device.
It becomes extremely hot mostly during intensive calculations beyond three processing tabs. It seems the issue isn't overheating but rather excessive heat buildup. Also, it frequently reaches around 90°C, then drops to about 70°C before quickly rising again in a consistent pattern.
