Help with Outlet Internet/Phone Jack?.. [Help!]
Hello! I just moved into my sister's old room because it's larger than mine. I noticed there was a black outlet cover in the space. I thought about taking it off to check what was underneath. It looks like an Ethernet cable, but we never had running Ethernet throughout the house. Maybe it’s from when home phones used those special plugs? I guess that could be it. Using Ethernet would be nice, though I don’t think it changes much since we pay for 150 downloads and on 5G we get 200 downloads at my computer. Still, anyone know what kind of plug it is? (Sorry for the blurry photo—I didn’t realize it was that hard to see.) And the old room paint on top of it is pretty cool. That's an rj50 connector and phone cable. Ethernet usually has 8 wires (4 color pairs)
