You can use Windows 7 Home Premium on multiple computers, including those you purchase from a micro center. For transferring files between your laptop and PC, copying data directly from the laptop’s HDD to the PC’s HDD should work, though the operating system will likely install on the new PC rather than simply running as a bootable image. It may not behave exactly like your laptop on the first boot, but it should function similarly. To save money, consider buying the Windows 7 license online or at a discounted price, and use free tools for copying files.
