Help with FPS
I recently purchased a 120Hz 1080p monitor, yet my FPS remains low in most games due to my outdated and budget computer. I was taken aback since I only play non-graphics-heavy games like Minecraft, Starbound and Geometry Dash, and I don’t plan on using anything demanding for the GPU. I’m curious if there are ways to boost my gaming performance or if affordable upgrades under $200 are available. My current setup includes: GPU – Intel HD 4400, CPU – Intel i3 4170, PSU – 300w, Motherboard – 088DT1. I’ve owned this PC for about four years and haven’t ever opened it up before. My case is a Dell Inspiron 3847, and I’m new to building or buying hardware. Could you please let me know if you need any additional details about my system? Thank you!
I'm not completely certain about the cost, and I need to find where to purchase the 1050ti.
You can check your RAM by using system settings or the command line. Look for details like total capacity, speed, and installed modules.
Inside the PC it will display the RAM configuration—single channel if you have one stick, dual if two. The setup is a bit more complex, but I assume you have two DIM slots. For the GPU, eBay or Craigslist would be a good place to look.
It should have noted that in Task Manager the RAM usage will display available slots. A tool like Hw Info or specifications can also confirm if it uses dual-channel technology.
