I recently acquired a new NZXT custom PC. It's essentially their streaming pro configuration, but I added a case and some different RAM (Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 3080, NZXT N7 B550 MOBO). The problem is my computer randomly shuts down with a black screen while the fans spin at high speed, but the audio remains normal. I can still chat in Discord, though I can't see anything. I don’t believe overheating is the cause—it happens even when the system isn’t under heavy load. I’ve monitored temperatures all day and the 3080 rarely exceeds 60°C. I also ran a clean driver install and switched all fans to performance mode. The PSU that came with the PC isn’t optimal, which might be the issue, but that’s my only guess. Additionally, note that during the first couple of days I had no issues, then after switching to a 1440p monitor it happened for the first time, so I switched back and it continues to occur.

Replace the graphics card and confirm there’s no debris in the PCIe connector. Verify that your DP/HDMI cable is securely connected to both the card and the monitor.

I'll attempt that. I already verified the cables—definitely not those. When I first received the PC, I went through everything to ensure all connections were solid.

I repositioned the card and adjusted its backdate to an even earlier version. I performed some benchmarks (just for fun) to check for overheating or crashes. No significant issues arose. It seems the driver might have been the problem.
