You don’t need a win 10 ISO. Let it set up on its own and keep the battery connected.

The installation fails and keeps showing the same error after pressing "OK."

I believe there was an issue with the hard drive, possibly requiring a format, but it isn’t functioning through that laptop.

Configure BIOS for legacy storage access. Install GParted via USB drive. Power off system, then restart. Delete existing partitions. Switch the boot order from GPT to MBR. Connect your external drive, power on, and begin installation.

Legacy drive refers to the original internal storage device, while GParted is a disk partitioning utility used to manage and format those drives. The second line likely explains that it’s about organizing or preparing the legacy drive for use.

Legacy boot refers to BIOS configurations. It contrasts with UEFI setup. Running in legacy mode means the MBR is formatted, not GPT. What is GParted? Simply search "GParted" on Google. Your drive uses GPT partitioning, and since your Windows 7 is a legacy install, you can't boot it unless you adjust the BIOS settings. Until then, installing Windows 7 won't work on that drive. Fewer questions, more steps. If something isn't clear, notice it when you begin using GParted.
