I was trying to experiment with Linux and accidentally erased my drive. If I get the ISO file and boot from USB, the product key should still be available on the system. No need to wait centuries—Microsoft will provide the code once you have access to your product key.

It starts on its own once you’re connected to the internet. Using the free upgrade deal, it does this by assessing your computer’s specs and then confirming with Microsoft that your setup is allowed for Windows 10.
