I've connected the Asus Sabertooth Z77 with an I5-2500k and 8GB DDR3 RAM. The power LED is on, but when I try to adjust the pins with a screwdriver, nothing happens. Could be a wiring issue or a faulty component—consider testing on a different board if you want to troubleshoot.

Disconnecting the 24-pin connector and connecting the green wire to a black pin should not cause the fan to start spinning on the PSU.

I verified it on my other PC, and it functions properly.

Do you have an extra power supply unit available for connection to the board?

The issue seems unrelated to the PSU.

Did you attempt to disconnect all components except the power connectors? That means no CPU, RAM, fans, or SATA cables were removed.

Are you certain you attempted to short the right pins for the power switch? Review picture 1 for the correct ones. Also, you might want to clear the CMOS if you haven’t done it before. Do your speakers connect to the motherboard? Are there any beeps? You could also try using the memory button (picture 2).

I resolved the issue where the motherboard lacked its pin cap on the NVMe drive.
