High volume fans during intense gameplay, but performance remains slow despite 200+ FPS. You have a 3080 and an i7-12700k with 32 GB RAM.

Check if the season affects performance or if background programs are involved. How long have you been using this system? Which software have you installed, and what is the room temperature? Use Core Temp to check CPU temperatures and GPU-Z for GPU stats (Task Manager already has Performance details).

The choice between HWinfo64 and HwMonitor depends on your needs. Both provide valuable insights, but HwMonitor offers a broader range of features. Consider what you require most to decide.

Sure, I also suggest using Core Temp in these situations since it displays just the temperature. This might be helpful if the person is not very tech-savvy, though I don't think that's usually the issue here.

It displays the GPU but doesn’t provide detailed graphics information; it mainly highlights basic stats.

I set up MSI Afterburner and noticed temperatures ranging from 70 to 80 degrees at 70 fps. I’m a bit disappointed because the 1440p feels a bit too heavy, even though I got a 3080. Everything now runs smoother, but the 1440p is making my fans get louder than usual.

It seems you're operating at 70 FPS, below the 200 you mentioned earlier. You might notice it feels less smooth compared to 1080p. Consider turning off anti-aliasing.

Sure, I got it. You were aiming for 200 frames per second and decided to quit playing games.
