this cpu is zen+ known for extracting more performance from high-speed memory than from simply overclocking, a capability it can also achieve. I think someone who frequently talks about FPS on YouTube probably has experience with both. It’s essentially the same issue that userbenchmark faces.

“Should”? There’s no strict rule about matching the same fps as some YouTuber does. If you’re aiming for those specific numbers, it’s one matter, but should is another.

There are other options too. Maybe background processes are running.

My response was more like a casual “don’t worry about it.”

I can share what I personally understand. There are specialists in this area—probably more than I am—and they’re out there. One might take time to explain.

Overclocking can cause problems. One common issue is excessive heat, which may need aftermarket cooling solutions. Overclocking memory usually doesn’t need much extra gear since most RAMs come with heat sinks now. The process can be tricky and time-consuming, I know that. I haven’t done it myself.

There’s an unofficial app called Ryzen DRAM calculator that might simplify things. I think the idea is to fill out some details about your memory in a forum, and the app processes that info to suggest suitable BIOS settings.
