Help! Not seeing anything on my screen!
This motherboard might need both CPU power cables to start up. It's possible the system boots without a display, or it could just fail to boot at all. The 24-pin connection may provide sufficient power for LEDs and fans but not enough to run the CPU without both cables.
This motherboard might need both CPU power cables to start up. It could be that the system boots without a display, or it might just fail to boot at all. The 24-pin may provide enough power for LEDs and fans but not for the CPU (without both cables). I’ll check if the issue is with the monitor first, then assume otherwise. Thanks a lot! You’ve been really helpful today.
If you have a case speaker on hand, it can provide some of this information. For instance, one long beep (for AMI BIOS) means the system passed POST. Five short beeps signify a Processor Error. AMI beep codes are available at http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/amibeep.htm. You can also find them from Amazon at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product
