Im having trouble with my new build. This is the first computer I've done. Lian li o11 dynamic Evo in white Msi 260 AIO Asus rog strix z690e mb GEIL polaris 5 ddr5 memory 2x16gb 4800mhz Intel i9 12900kf Evga rtx3090 ftw3 ultra Bequiet 850w psu Seagate 4tb HD 2 sabrent rocket Q m.2 ssd 1 tb Windows 11 So I built the computer and it posts no problem. Installed windows on the Seagate HD bc I was waiting for the m.2 drives to come in. Which i have and are now installed. Problem I'm having is everything I install takes FOREVER to download and install. When I click on things there is serious lag. I'm certain I installed all my drivers and I even ran all the asus ai stuff and the system auto overclocks by 62%. Temps at idle are between 26c and 43c depending on component. I ran some bench marks without issue and even got over 300fps using heaven. I was expecting this pc to operate like greased lighting but instead it acts like it's 10 years old . I'm trying to clone the OS onto the m.2 without any success bc things are running so slow. I have no idea what to do. This pc is my primary business computer for my sign shop with some light gaming. I have at least 5 resource dependent design softwares I use depending on the project that I'm doing. I have photoshop 21 and vectric for cnc design that has 2d and rd rendering if that matters. Help!!!!

You seem to be starting from an SSD, not Windows.

We avoid placing our operating system on a hard drive. Make sure to save your files and restart on the SSD. Updated May 21, 2022 by drdrewnatic

Restart Windows on the SSD. Try Windows 10 and 11. This should resolve most speed problems. If temperatures are normal, the issue isn’t throttling. Also verify whether your AIO is recalled—especially if it’s an MSI model.

They're not storing any data yet, I'm trying to clone only the operating system now. The main issue is how slow the computer feels overall.

I just made a backup of the system onto the M.2 drive, which really powered up the computer. I'm currently waiting about seven hours to clone the D drive from the previous PC to the new machine's storage. I'm hoping everything will be ready for me later.
