The burnt items are located in the upper right and lower left areas.

I don't clearly perceive the burn mark due to the image resolution (it isn't your device, you're just not positioning it correctly for autofocus), but this isn't typical. Those labels should have been deleted prior to installation.

they’re perfectly okay to stay there; I leave them in and it functions just fine, though I take them out when I need to clean a CPU that looks inactive to bring it back to life.

It depends on the situation; burning a big part of the CPU wouldn't be practical or safe.
