What is the distance of your rendering? It might influence performance as well... Have you adjusted your maximum framerate to "unlimited"?
Have you considered adding OptiFine? It can boost your system's speed noticeably...
Your system is fully optimized with unlimited FPS, so using Windows 10 shouldn't cause any issues.
I'm also on Windows 10... Have you tried setting up Optifine? If you're not sure how to do it on your own, there are some installers available.
