Help me understand what you need.
Hey there, I built my PC in 2015 with a GeForce GTX 960 and an Intel i5. Minecraft sometimes fails to load worlds or hits only low frame rates like 15fps, then crashes. Vsync is off on my GPU, and when I join servers it drops to around 20-30 FPS. I know Minecraft isn’t the most demanding game, but it’s the only one I play. Need more details if you have them. Thanks!
You might want to review your VRAM consumption; it seems you're exceeding the 2GB (or 4GB) limit of your card.
I understand the issue you're facing. You're experiencing slow performance because only 1GB of RAM is allocated for Minecraft, which is being fully utilized. To adjust this, you need to modify your launcher settings. Open the "edit profile" option and update two parameters: -Xmx and -Xmn. The -Xmx value sets the maximum RAM Minecraft can use, while -Xmn sets the minimum. If you have less than 4GB, no changes are needed. For 8GB or more, set -Xmx to the desired amount and -Xmn accordingly. For example, with 16GB RAM, you could use -Xmx8G and -Xmn1G. Just replace those two values without adding them manually—they are configured elsewhere.
