So essentially, when I arrived home around 2 pm today, I watched a video demonstrating how to overclock my Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor. The person in the video was doing it using BIOS. I followed their instructions. After saving the changes, my PC restarted and I expected a normal Windows load-up with some performance improvement. However, suddenly the fans spun much louder, Windows 10 loaded into a loading screen, then displayed an error stating that my PC encountered an issue and needed to restart. The error message was "INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE." I restarted several times but it didn’t resolve anything.

I reset Windows completely via the advanced settings button and created a bootable USB drive which worked perfectly on my laptop. On the PC, it didn’t work at all, with very slow progress and eventually the installation crashed, forcing an automatic restart. I managed to lower the fan speed by setting it to silent in Windows settings and adjusted the processor frequency from 1.7v to 1.4v. Still, the problem persisted.

I reset my BIOS two times and tried removing the battery once, which reset the BIOS but didn’t help. When the PC starts, I receive a message saying:

"jmicron technology corp. pcie-to-sataii /ide raid controller bios v1.06.79
Detecting drives: Done: No drives found."

That’s about it. Please help me fix this and get my PC specs back on track.

No, I cannot modify the SATA port configuration between IDE and AHCI.
