So here's my argument against it: there are no special Gen 5 connectors, and only now, 10 years later, is Gen 3 starting to become fully saturated by GPUs. B650 boards do still have a single Gen 5 M.2 slot on them, so if you end up needing super fast storage you have that (I still doubt the need for this though, no consumer workload fully takes advantage of Gen 3 SSDs now, let alone Gen 4), but with the GPU slot the CPU will be too slow to power a card before Gen 5 actually becomes useful in the primary PCIe slot. As for how long the AM5 socket will last, AMD has promised 2024 IIRC. That may mean we see CPUs through 2026 like we did on AM4, or it could mean Ryzen 7000 is the last CPUs we see on this socket like we did with sTRX40. For some board recommendations, the B650 Aorus Elite AX is probably gonna be your best bet, it's cheap, has a good VRM, and has about as many expansion slots as you're gonna get. The aforementioned Live Mixer is a solid option, though it has only 2 SATA ports and you'd need to get WiFi for it through a M.2 card (the same ones used for laptops). The X570 variant of the Aorus Elite is another good option, though it's mostly the same as the B650 variant, just with an extra few SATA ports and an extra Type A port in the rear.
