I can see my system in the user profile.
I tried the steps from the guide:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8rY4TrcDXg
But it didn’t work well. First, I ran a benchmark with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and got a score of 2338 Marks.
Then I followed the OC instructions on the motherboard, but after rebooting it crashed heavily. I reverted the changes and returned to the stock settings, keeping my RAM at 3000mhz (profile 1 on the MB). The issue is that I altered many settings, making me unsure if I restored everything correctly. When I went back to stock (or thought so), the benchmark only gave 2088 Marks, which was worse than my original stock score?
Next, I used the Intel OC tuning tool and increased the frequency to 4.7 ghz, achieving a score of 2530 Marks.
I’m now considering resetting the BIOS completely to factory defaults and aiming for that 2338 score on stock settings. I feel like some changes are reducing my performance on stock numbers.
I’m looking for advice on how to maximize the performance of my 8700k. During the benchmark, I’m only reaching 60c... it seems I’m missing a lot of potential.

Can see my system in user profile.
So I followed this guide:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8rY4TrcDXg
Didn't work out to well. First I did a benchmark test with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and got a bench mark of 2338 Marks.
I then followed this guide to OC via the motherboard. Upon reboot it crashed hard. I reverted the OC and voltage back to stock and kept my RAM clocked to the 3000mhz (profile 1 on the MB). Problem is I changed so much that I'm not sure I got all the settings back to default. When I reverted to stock (or so I think) I ran another bench mark only got 2088 marks which was worse than my original stock benchmark??
I then used the Intel OC tuning tool instead and OC'd to 4.7 ghz. I then got a score of 2530 marks.
What I want to do is reset the BIOS and go completely back to stock numbers CPU wise. I want to hit that 2338 on stock numbers and work from there. I feel I changed something that's getting me less performance on stock numbers!
Just looking for advice on how to to squeeze the most out of my 8700k. During the bench mark I'm only hitting 60c...so it seems I'm leaving a lot on the table.
I found nothing relating to your specific specs in your profile so list your specs in detail including brand, model #s etc. and your OP/SYS as well?

I can see my system in the user profile. I tried this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8rY4TrcDXg. It didn’t work out well. First, I ran a benchmark with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and got a score of 2338 Marks. Then I followed the OC instructions on the motherboard, but after rebooting it crashed severely. I restored the original settings and voltage, keeping the RAM clocked at 3000MHz (profile 1 on the MB). The issue is that I changed so many things I’m not sure I restored everything to default. When I went back to stock (or thought so), I ran another benchmark and got 2088 Marks, which was worse than my original stock score? I then used Intel’s OC tuning tool and set it to 4.7 GHz, achieving a score of 2530 Marks.

What I’m aiming for is resetting the BIOS completely and returning everything to factory settings, especially the CPU. I want to reach that 2338 benchmark on stock numbers and build from there. It seems like some changes are hurting performance on stock scores!

I’m also seeking advice on how to maximize the performance of my 8700K. During the benchmark, I’m only hitting around 60°C... it looks like I’m missing a lot of potential.

I didn’t find any information related to your specific specs in your profile, so please list your details clearly—brand, model numbers, etc.—and share your original and current system info.

No problem. Here’s the setup:
Intel 8700K
Coolermaster HAF XB (front: Dual 140mm fans + radiator pull, top: 200mm exhaust fan, rear: 1 x 120mm + 2 x 80mm exhaust fans)
NZXT X52 Kraken AIO Liquid Cooler
Aorus z390 MB Rev 1.0
2x SLI EVGA GTX 970 SSC ATX 2.0 OC’d to 1617 MHz with MSI Afterburner
EVGA G3 1000W PSU
G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000)
Windows 10 Pro

I feel I should reset the BIOS and start fresh from the basics. Currently, I have the CPU OC’d with Intel Xtreme at 4.7 GHz and everything stable. But the results are disappointing, as mentioned before. I want to reach the 2338 benchmark on stock numbers and then optimize further. I believe I can exceed the 2530 marks.

When I run benchmarks, I see low scores in the 70s for temperature. Even my graphics cards only reach the mid-70s, but when I OC them to higher speeds they crash.
