whenever i apply an xmp profile on my computer to boost memory speed, crashes happen instantly during every game, even Minecraft won’t launch. i need a ryan 5 2600x gigabyte b450m ds3h rx 570 with 4gb ram, 16gb ddr4, ripjaws v 3200mhz.

What model of PSU do you have? Attempt to turn on XMP, then adjust the speed to 3000MHz and see if it works. Zen seems to have weaker RAM support compared to Zen 2. You look pretty struggling if you can't run at that frequency.

It seems the system might not fetch all sub-timings. Verify and adjust them as needed.

Upgrade BIOS and chipset firmware. Verify timing settings with a DRAM calculator using the exact memory specifications. Choose appropriate power supply accordingly.

ram should be placed in slots 2 and 4. the 2000 series prefers memory with a limit. with a 2600x, I’m stuck on getting RAM up to 2933.

Zen has a really poor memory chip, which means you're probably just unlucky.
