Skyrim isn't great—maybe a major mod for Grand SA could help.

Famous mods only if you want them. I’ll pick the most known ones. Stop when you hit ~30-35 FPS.

I have a lot to cover. My list goes on forever and typing them all would be too slow, so I’ll name a few: SkyUI, Skyrim HD 2k textures, Amidian, Book of Silence, Immersive Weapons, Immersive Armors, Ultimate HD, Fire Realvision, Sharpshooters, Project ENB, Seasons of Skyrim, ENB Frostfall, Realistic Needs and Diseases, Grass or Unbeleievable Grass, Skyrim flora overhaul. Those are just a few; I’ll edit later.

You're looking at a selection of mods for Skyrim, including quality maps, patches, and enhancements. To address your question about Lightning: the two you mentioned—climate settings and realistic lightning overhauls—can generally coexist, though they serve different purposes. The climate mod adjusts weather patterns, while the lightning patch enhances visual effects and gameplay dynamics. However, ensure compatibility between them, as some changes might affect performance or visual fidelity.

Combat mods are available for many games. I explored Skyrim on a console and noticed its combat felt less precise compared to modern titles like Dark Souls. As someone who enjoys tactical gameplay, I’d likely revisit the game if the combat was refined.

I’m focusing on improving the textures first, then moving on to the rest. Seems like Enhanced Lights and FX is at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27043 and Immersive Interiors can be found at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/39208. Both work well together. I believe I’m handling the modifications now.

Lighting effects and conversational thinking pair well effectively. Success with modding looks promising!

I wouldn't rely on CoT. I'll stick with these recommendations:
13. Enhanced Lights and FX – link provided
14. Immersive Interiors – link provided
15. RealVision ENB – link provided

Expect significant performance impact, but ENBoost could help. Additional suggestions include:
20. Cloaks of Skyrim – link
21. Winter Is Coming - Cloaks – link
22. Wet and Cold – link
23. Footprints – link
24. Splash of Rain – link
25. Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival – link
26. Realistic Needs and Diseases – link
27. Moonpath to Elsweyr – link

Still the same combat. It's superior on M+K and at high frame rates compared to a gamepad, that's all I can say for sure (I always have an XBOX 360 connected to my PC for certain games). Dark Souls levels of "tight" are quite impressive! Consider another benchmark.
