Hey there, looking for some guidance.
I just set up my new rig again and got back into overclocking. I'm using an MSU 970 gaming motherboard and an FX 8350.
At first, I could reach 4.5ghz with stock voltage. My first question is, I found something confusing when I swapped one of my RAM sticks into the next slot (without running them in parallel). My CPU suddenly hit 4.5ghz without adjusting any settings.
Any explanation?
(Using two 8GB sticks at 2133mhz)
I wanted my RAM to work together, so I switched the DIMM slot back and started my OC.
Right now, my FSB is 200, CPU ratio is 23.5, voltage is 0.952v, and everything else is stock.
My CPU runs at 4.7ghz with a stable temperature of 37°C.
Do you think I can push this further?

Likely the BIOS was switched to saved settings after adjusting RAM locations.
Also, the CPU voltage of 0.952v should be during idle mode; it wouldn't run at 4.7GHz under that setting. Verify everything works under full load. Are you using AOD for tracking?
