I just bought my first gaming PC and need Windows, but all the other devices in the house are Macs. They don’t have the right bootcamp tools either. Can someone guide me on making a Windows 10 installation drive for a Mac without using bootcamp? Any advice would be super helpful. Thanks!

Choose the Windows version with a USB drive. Or create a VM running Windows. You might also use dd as an option.

No, you wouldn't need to download the ISO file and use Rufus.

Microsoft offers a "Media Creation Tool" that generates bootable USB drives automatically. Or, you can choose to download the ISO file and burn it onto a disc instead.

Searching the web doesn't yield a verified source to obtain the download file.

I want to set it up myself instead of spending £100 for the USB version.

The process seems to work differently on Mac due to its system settings.

It matches the price of the version that only offers a download, eliminating the need for an additional USB.
