Hey everyone, yesterday something went wrong—I accidentally downloaded a virus. It started with lots of pop-ups that made it hard to see, and I couldn’t install any protection software because the virus blocked everything. My internet was limited to just a few sites like Google and YouTube. After rebooting in safe mode, I used several antivirus tools to clean up the infection. I removed all unfamiliar programs from July 4th, 2016, and after restarting, my PC worked normally except for a strange silence in some games. When I played CS:GO, no sound came through at all. Other titles like Hotline Miami, Subnautica, Dead by Daylight, Metro 2033 Redux, and DOOM (new version) also had no audio. I checked the settings, switched to headphones, and even reinstalled OpenAL, but nothing changed. I’m really hoping someone can help me figure this out.

Restart the installation of the motherboard or sound card audio drivers. The virus might have altered them.

Determine the steps to proceed. The previous attempt failed; now focus on the remaining tasks. Everything else functions correctly, only CS and Hotline are involved, or other games use OpenAL.
