Not when the idea of boosting processor speed appears right before the price drop for the GTX 970, which offers a much weaker RX 550. Since OP prioritizes gaming and streaming, attention should shift to enhancing the GPU for better gameplay and NVENC encoding.

You maintain the 970 and trade the RX550. What matters most is purchasing what you can use and disposing of the rest. With a tight budget, that’s the only option.

It depends on whether someone is looking to buy an AMD FX with an RX 550. It seems like a potential upgrade route, but I’m unsure if it’s worth the investment compared to saving money now or going all-in with a full system refresh.
