Help! Low power consumption on the card during overclocking is leading to crashes.
I recently purchased a new 1070ti FTW Ultra Silent from EVGA. It offered a significant improvement and I’m quite satisfied with its nearly silent operation. But I’m facing some problems when attempting to overclock it. After achieving +270 on the core stable in EVGA precision XOC, my GPU’s power never exceeds 90% following reboots, and stable overclocks above +120 remain unattainable. The power cap is still set at 120%, which greatly affects gameplay performance. I’m certain this isn’t a CPU limitation since my CPU runs at around 50% during benchmarks—though it does show an overall bottleneck. I’m unsure if EVGA has imposed any restrictions to make these cards even quieter, and I’m eager to regain my overclocking potential. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
