Help! Low FPS with Low CPU and GPU Usage.
Help! Low FPS with Low CPU and GPU Usage.
I recently started playing Escape From Tarkov and while aiming for the highest frame rate with minimal settings, I discovered my average was around 50 fps. My CPU and GPU were both operating near 50% usage. Although a 1080p setting wouldn’t drastically improve things, I’m only achieving about 40 fps at low settings and my system isn’t exceeding 50% load. This inconsistency is puzzling.
I’ve seen similar issues with other titles, but it wasn’t as severe, so I didn’t pay much attention. Now, though, I’m determined to figure out what’s causing the problem because I feel my PC isn’t performing optimally and I want to get the most out of it. It’s really frustrating.
In Task Manager, my CPU consistently reports a speed of 4.2 GHz, reaching up to 4.37GHz under load. My idle CPU temperatures are around 31°C, and CineBench shows a maximum of about 60°C during underload.
Here’s my current configuration:

I’d also like some feedback on my parts list and whether any hardware is hindering performance. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Not exactly what I expected. I'm certain the game isn't limited by any caps, as I've been working on improving it with tutorials.
The performance also doesn't follow a fixed limit—it varies, sometimes reaching 70 fps and other times dropping to 30 during gunfights.
Are you sure the second monitor is set to 60 or 144hz? It probably doesn't really matter, but have you checked if it's been unplugged yet? Also, would it help to keep an eye on your PSU's draw? It might indicate you're not getting enough power.
