I own an AMD A6 6400K APU (actually it's not great), which is used for gaming. The turbo frequency is around 4.1 GHz, but when I try to push it to 4.8 GHz via AMD Overdrive, the games just crash. I think this is causing instability. I've set the voltage to 1.472V, which appears red in AMD Overdrive. Additionally, my ASUS A58ME motherboard doesn't allow overclocking, and I can't locate the setting.

Yes, that indicates instability. It seems you're already familiar with adjusting the voltage?

It seems confusing, but you're asking about adjusting voltage settings for your CPU.

So I discovered why my games keep crashing. Apparently, they fail if I overclock through AMD OD, which is really frustrating. But when I overclock using BIOS for PC games, it works fine. Also, there was a random reboot once I forgot to adjust the voltage. After changing it from 1.3V to 1.5V, it no longer crashes, though the temperatures remain inconsistent.
