Hello, I currently have an fx8150 watercooled and was considering boosting its speed to around 4.3 or 4.5ghz if it's safe. I'm using an asus rog crosshair v formula z motherboard.

First question, what was your motherboard's TDP? Because your FX CPU has a 125W TDP, not all the AM3+ MB slots will be suitable for powering that 125W CPU. First question, what was your motherboard's TDP? Because your FX CPU has a 125W TDP, not all the AM3+ MB slots will be suitable for powering that 125W CPU.
