Someone can assist you. Your friend has a Ryzen 2200G on an ASUS Prime A320M-K motherboard with BIOS 4027. He’s considering upgrading to Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 2700X. Check compatibility between those CPUs and his current setup.

Check CPU support on the motherboard page. It seems to work well with a 3600 but may struggle with an 8-core 2700X.

Consensus reached – this board works well with a 65W chip, which corresponds to the non-X models. A regular 3600 is acceptable, though a non-X 2700 is also okay. Any X model chips would draw more power than intended.
