Hello friends,
Could you assist me in selecting the PSU between these two options?
1. Antec NeoEco750M 750 Watt Fully Modular.
2. MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 Power Supply 750 Watt Fully Modular.
Both units are 80 plus gold and fully modular. Antec uses a half bridge LLC design, while MSI employs a full bridge LLC.
I’m unsure whether the half or full bridge design is better for my setup.
My system includes an I5 13500 CPU, an MSI B760 WiFi DDR5 motherboard, and an Asus 1050ti GPU. In the next 7-8 months, I plan to upgrade to either a 30 series or 40 series RTX.
Your guidance would be greatly appreciated. Which one would be more suitable?
Seasonic produces excellent and long-lasting power supplies. MSI is preferred over Antec since it offers slightly improved performance while supporting ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0. This makes it more appealing for future use with new parts, especially if you plan to build a new PC or upgrade your GPU. Regardless of the brand you choose, it's generally better to stick with ATX 3.0 models.

It doesn't really matter much. A good half-bridge is still superior to a mediocre full bridge. I'm not impressed by the quality of the MSI and the fan is quite loud.

What about thermaltake?
I think it would be best to check out an ATX 3.0 power supply from Seasonic or Corsair.
It's not a major concern; other factors usually decide the better option.
Generally, the focus is on AC-DC conversion. Half-bridge converters use two switches, while full bridge uses four. The latter works better in high voltage situations but is also more complicated and can generate more electrical noise.
For most people, understanding the exact differences isn't necessary.
