So recently my games have been crashing for the past week or so! I'm using a Zotac Gtx 1080 with 8GB RAM on Windows 10, running version 526.86. The games (mainly BF1) start up and connect to the server, then play perfectly at ULTRA settings with 1080p and 144FPS. After a few minutes the system crashes and shuts down. I've experienced several BSODs when trying Warzone or BF1. I've checked everything—RAM, memory, disk, virus scans, registry fixes, driver cleanup, .NET repair, and even uninstalled the latest Windows updates. I also used DDU to remove drivers, tried automatic updates, and then disabled them to see if that helped. I reinstalled a working driver from July 26, 2022 (version 516.93).

I'm really confused! I've monitored temperatures, which stayed below 85°C all the time, and usually around 70-80°C during heavy use. I used Afterburner to cap GPU usage at 90% and set temperatures to 80°C. Recently, I changed the settings to 50FPS maximum, 720p resolution, hoping to figure out if overheating or load was the issue. The game ran smoothly for about 5-10 minutes before crashing again.

Temperatures were between 70-80°C under maximum settings, dropping to 50-60°C at lower settings. The game lasted around 20 minutes before the GPU spiked to 100% and then crashed.

Not sure if it's a hardware problem or just a driver issue, but it seems the card is staying cool and still crashing. Please help me out! Thanks in advance.

I don't have access to your full system specifications. Could you provide the details you're referring to?

Have you checked for malware, and are there any third-party programs active in the background, such as general taskbar applications? CCleaner works well for removing unnecessary registry entries, but Malwarebytes is a widely used free tool for cleaning malware.

They used two programs, Malwarebytes and Avast. For tasks, there was nothing else except Avast, which I've used for years.

I used Avast! for a long time before it began causing issues. Now I rely solely on Windows Defender. Occasionally I need to create exclusions for it, but it's much less intrusive.

All your evaluations focused solely on the software, the problem might lie with the graphics card or power source. The only method to verify this is by replacing a reliable card in your setup and/or examining the video card on another machine.
