HELP!!!
You're using two separate cables for your GPU power supply, not relying on the Armory Crate. It's happening occasionally—whether you're playing in high settings like 1440p or low like Muck, it seems random. The external fan blowing into your intake appears to help, but it's hard to confirm.
Good, it's helpful to use separate cables when possible. The Armory crate can cause problems. Are you running HWMonitor as an admin to view temperatures? Is Windows updated? Because your BIOS isn't the newest, have you installed the latest updates? Have you experienced crashes during stability tests (CPU - Prime 95 Small FTT, GPU - Unigine Heaven looping)? What are the peak temperatures during those tests?
Under administrator Windows updates are installed. Tonight the BIOS flashing completed successfully. During stress tests, performance stayed below 80 unless it was a single-core setup, after which it reached around 85-87.
I prefer a clean, functional setup over unnecessary additions. If it resolves the problem, it must be useful. The update focuses on refining the code rather than changing existing files. Corruption can happen, which is why the refresh feature exists. I’m unsure if updates will overwrite old data unless specified. If it only works under certain conditions, it suggests a software-based fix. Edited May 7, 2022 by Bombastinator
