I am guessing it is a conflict between the windows boot manager and grub. You should try reinstalling your Linux distro Try a distro with the ubiquity installer It gives in built options to dual boot.

I connected every drive and reinstalled Linux on my M.2 slot, but once the setup finished it just prompts to insert media as if nothing happened. When I boot into Kali Live, all the files on the SSD are visible.
