You’ve managed to restore your main antenna connection after the issue. The “aux” antenna is indeed an auxiliary one, so it should function with just one wire. Just make sure both connections are secure for optimal performance.

The card should work well with a single antenna. Expect reduced coverage or connection strength compared to before, but you’ve lost an antenna—what options do you have?

I damaged mine myself, my wife—she poured a glass of water on Yoga 920... even though there was no wire, it should have worked (though the signal was really weak). Just get a fresh card... or try using a USB Wi-Fi as a backup plan.

You may use a lower speed setting because it will likely be a 1x1 configuration. It could easily swap for a 1650x Killer or similar if you need both a fix and an upgrade at the same time. You should be able to remove the connector part from the antenna using pliers.

Consider swapping the card for a stable wireless connection. You might test with only one antenna first. If you choose to replace the adapter, look for a precise match; upgrading newer cards can be worthwhile. Ensure the new card fits the M.2 2230 design (A/E key).

Thanks for letting me know the form factor wasn’t clear. I plan to sell this laptop and set up a rig so people can share their setup ideas.

I’m using the main antenna on the auxiliary port and noticed improved connection. I believe as long as I avoid mixing multiple wireless devices, I’ll stay stable. My keyboard and mouse work fine with just the antenna—WiFi and Bluetooth should function too.
