My Nas is linked to your router, but you'd like it to connect directly to your main PC while staying connected through the switch. You only need the IP address for this setup.

The network device isn't designed to handle NAS traffic directly, so routing it through the router isn't feasible.

What is your network layout? A switch shouldn't change your IP settings. Keep the NAT connected to your router or switch, avoid connecting it directly to your computer.

The connection speed is significantly lower when using the router compared to a direct PC link.

Your router operates at 100 megabits per second, not gigabits.

You possess a 100mbit connection, I'll resolve it, and it should cost relatively low.

It’s 100Mb/s.
3: Yes, that’s the current speed.
Sometimes I connect my NAS directly to my PC using Ethernet.

Let me know your setup—I'll check the switch and router details for you. Are both devices 100 megabit capable, or is it only the router?

The router is an older Netgear model, while the switch offers gigabit connectivity.
