the cpu temperatures stayed near 60 degrees during heavy use, and it seems the power supply is functioning well. I retained my previous hard drive, cleared it, and installed windows on a new ssd.

Sure, I can be more detailed. You mentioned using an indicator during gameplay, specifically noting that a few seconds prior to reaching a temperature of 60°C, or observing the temperature before beginning the game.

I've never noticed my CPU temperature exceed 64°C during operation. Workloads vary between roughly 20% to 90% utilization.

It seems related to the BIOS, though I'm not entirely certain.

I'm really sorry for the confusion, but it's crucial to stay accurate. From what you mentioned, I can't be certain unless you clarify: Have you looked at your CPU temperature during a game with boost turned on, just a few seconds before it crashed?

I’m confident about this edit—just kidding, I meant to type something for my mom, but I’m really frustrated with my phone.

from what I saw, it wasn’t close to the temperature it needed to freeze. With only two monitors, it was tough to work through it.

Either way as I said I doubt it's something wrong from your side

Download MSI Afterburner here: https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner
Add an overlay for your game if needed.
Follow a quick guide—showing all metrics and taking a screenshot during intense moments (like many NPCs or open areas) helps you monitor system temps before you start gaming.
