I'm here again to talk about the issue that's been bothering me lately. I've chosen to upgrade my CPU based on advice from a friend, since my old one was too weak for my GPU. The bottleneck calculator suggested it might be the root cause. After installing it, I tried running multiple games from Steam, like Overwatch and The Forest. They ran for a while but didn't last long enough to be satisfying. What changed was the absence of any GPU-related error messages—just a general notification that the problem might be elsewhere. The games still worked, though I couldn't see any GPU warnings. In Overwatch, I managed to play for an hour without crashes, but I had to send feedback to the developers. My temperatures and usage stats look normal, and I've already done a DDU setup. The specs are: CPU now an i9 13900K, GPU a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, PCIe 4.0 slot, Corsair 750 NVMe SSD, 32GB DDR4 RAM, TeamGroup storage, 2TB SSD, and the motherboard is an Asus ROG Strix Z690 A.

the new setup improved things, though i faced similar issues as before. performance is still noticeably better than the old cpu.

It was a somewhat foolish decision to swap out the solid CPU because of some bottleneck estimates. The real problem appears to be with the display or graphics. Now your GPU feels much weaker compared to the CPU, which is another bottleneck. It’s unclear exactly what caused it—do crashes occur in every game? Are the symptoms consistent? Have you updated the BIOS while upgrading from 12th to 13th generation?

It only occurs with my Steam games, the symptoms vary slightly as mentioned before. I haven’t updated it yet, but I plan to do so today.
