Hello, question about 12v rail
I just updated HWinfo64 today and observed the VRVin was added (at least I hadn’t noticed it before). If correct, it seems to be displaying the 12v rail. I also noticed that my 12v rail drops underload between 11.8-11.7, with the lowest I’ve seen being 11.692. When I say load, I mean while streaming on Spotify and watching a few Twitch streams at the same time, plus Discord open. With a light game, the numbers remain mostly stable.
My PSU is a Corsair RMX850 gold. It’s three years old. After some research, I found conflicting information—some say it’s outdated, others claim there’s no issue and it’s normal. I’m just seeking reliable answers to my new findings ^_^
Thank you very much.
According to ATX standard (wiki-link), the tolerance for 12V is ±10% (±1.20 V), meaning it remains within acceptable limits. If this does not lead to issues such as instability, no action is required.
Ah alright thank you both. Everything has been working just fine and I just wanted to make sure.
