Hello, I recently acquired a refurbished MSI 3060ti Ventus X2 using two PCIe cables. It was originally built for an older system with the same power connectors. My current setup includes: -CPU I5 13600k -MOBO Gygabite Z790A Elite AX DDR4 -RAM 2KIT Corsair Vengeance LPX16GB DDR4 3600 (8GB each, total 32GB) -PSU Corsair RM750e 750W power supply -CPU cooler Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE -NVME Crucial P5 Plus 1TB SSD -HDD 3.5" SATA 8TB x2 -GPU MSI 3060TI VENTUS X2 However, I've encountered problems when trying to run games such as Cyberpunk, Mount & Blade: Bannerlord, and Sea of Thieves. They frequently crash during loading and the event viewer displays an error message that appears as "nvlddmkm". This prevents proper startup and resets the system. So far, these are just application crashes—no BSOD occurs. When using VGA, there were no issues. The difference is noticeable: games like AoE 2 Definitive, Holdfast, and Fallout 4 run smoothly, while the 3060ti struggles. I've tested fresh drivers (including Nvidia 536.67 with GeForce and Studio), verified game integrity via Steam, performed a clean Windows install, and even tried light overclocking with undervolting, but only minor adjustments.

I understand your PSU is likely managing the power needs of your setup. However, the symptoms suggest a potential PSU issue. When you increase system load, voltage drops and crashes occur. Using an additional PSU for testing should help confirm if the problem lies with the original unit. Good luck!

I'll give it a shot! My main concern is whether this would happen, because they're constantly testing the boundaries.

PSUs include several protection circuits making it tricky to identify which one activated. For instance, overcurrent or overload settings might be normal, but a sudden power surge can occur during gameplay unlike during bench tests. It’s a straightforward check and even if you need to replace a PSU, it remains one of the most affordable parts in modern computers.
