I have my Microsoft Edge shortcut configured to open maximized each time, by appending "--start-maximized" to the command. I'm considering modifying a Windows apps registry entry instead, as I can't access the shortcut. When I find the relevant registry key for the app, I need to either insert a "maximized" line or use the values provided online (appWin_h, appWin_w, appWin_x, appWin_y).

Short answer is no, UWP apps don't provide these features, but they can be improved by asking developers to include them.

It's a relief to know more about WUPs. That definitely helps limit my choices. Thanks.
