Hello,
I just installed the latest updates for Windows 11. So far, I haven’t encountered many problems with other games, but trying CS2 has been problematic. The game is running very stuttering, almost as if it’s on a low-end PC. My latency sits between 10 and 20 ms, and the lag isn’t network-related. It’s not due to FPS drops because the client doesn’t have sudden death drops. I’m consistently achieving around 600-900 fps.

However, even without that, the game experiences freezing stutters especially when something like smoke appears or someone quickly looks at me. It’s really difficult to play smoothly with these issues, and it feels like a joke.

Details about your system:
- CPU: Intel i9 13900K (24 cores, 32 threads) @ ~5 GHz
- RAM: 32 GB DDR5 6000 MHz (Dual Channel)
- GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming 4070 Ti 12 GB
- SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 2 TB M.2
- PSU: 750 W
- No overclocking, no overheating concerns
- Max temp during gaming: 65-75°C for CPU/GPU

Anyone knows why this game behaves this way on Windows 11 or if there are possible fixes? Would reinstalling from a fresh Windows 10 USB be an option?

I'm beginning to think it might be Windows Defender and its settings that are leading to these strange issues and unexpected slowdowns. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to. Since I was looking online, I feel this is probably the main reason.

Which CS2?
Choose between Counter Strike 2 or Cities Skylines 2.

game is still being patched, it might be the developers' issue
Severe freezes and stutters occur frequently, lasting 2-3 seconds whenever something updates. Events like shots, smoke, or grenades trigger this. It looks like shader issues are involved—anyone else feel this way and know a solution? My PC specs: Ryzen 5 3600, RX 6700xt, 16GB RAM at 3000Mhz, M.2 NVMe storage

I chose to perform a new setup of Windows 10 and plan to test the game soon if it improves.
I hope everything will be better in the end...
