Hi,
I've been facing intense stuttering in games lately, especially in GTA V and the menus. The video shows sudden drops in performance. I've checked the latency monitor, but nothing stands out clearly. I'm not sure how to fix this myself, so any advice would be really helpful!
The only update I've done is refreshing the graphics drivers, but they should be updated to the newest version, shouldn't they?
Details:
CPU: i7 14700K
Motherboard: ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR5 2x 16 GB
GPU: MSI RTX 3090 GAMING X TRIO

I attempted to play the game with the CPU fan set to maximum speed, but there was still significant stuttering. The CPU temperature reached a maximum of 64 °C. I'm unsure about the proper method to check the CPU frequency accurately. Here are the clock speeds visible in HWMon: all P-cores from 0 to 7 operate at 5500 MHz, except core #5 which runs at 5600 MHz. P-cores from 8 to 19 run at 4300 MHz. The GPU temperature stayed at a maximum of 65 °C, with GPU memory at 76 °C. The hotspot measured was 79.7 °C.
This setup is quite powerful for playing a 2013 game... Who am I to judge, I play Elite Dangerous (2014)...
If you're confident the problems began after updating the GPU drivers, try using DDU (there are many guides available on how to do this) and reinstall the previous drivers to see if it resolves the issue.
