While attempting to play games, my CPU and/or GPU are significantly lagging. On the lowest settings I achieve 100-110fps, but at low frame rates of 1% it drops to 10-20fps, with record lows around 5-8fps. All systems are brand new (within a year of purchase) and I’m puzzled about the issue. User Benchmark shows normal performance, yet it doesn’t match gameplay results. In games like Fortnite I maintain 100-110fps while using only 50-60% of my components (per MSI afterburner). It’s been to memory express many times and they claim no problems during testing. Can anyone assist? https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/65842434 Edited November 24, 2023 by FluffyZeuss Added Heaven Benchmark Results

User benchmark isn't a reliable test. Consider using 3D Mark or Heaven Benchmark for accurate results. Your RAM might be running at its lowest speed, which could affect performance. It's important to check your Fortnite settings because they significantly influence how well the game runs.

Check your GPU settings for XMP support and look for a status indicator to confirm activation.

I saved Heaven Benchmark and connected the outcomes to your original comment. There seems to be an issue with RAM performance—your system now needs lower memory settings compared to when you used the 3060.

EPIC configurations have become extremely poor in the latest Fortnite update since last season. A significant redesign was implemented, introducing powerful settings and ray tracing that can severely impact your performance. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/...-settings/ This article offers some useful tips. For rendering mode, using DX 11 is recommended. Fixing memory problems is straightforward—restart the PC and press DEL during startup to access BIOS settings. On most BIOS interfaces, you’ll find an XMP option; select it from the dropdown menu and choose XMP 1.
