Hello, from my previous discussion my RAM failed suddenly, affecting both sticks at once. I replaced them with new ones and hope it’s not a PSU or MMO issue. I added HyperX heatsinks to conceal the old DDR3 PCBs, but now I’m unsure how to remove them without damaging the new RAM. The solder pads are very strong, so I don’t want to risk removing them. Also, I’m worried about placing the heatsinks directly on the new RAM without pads, as it might cause overheating. Any advice on using non-stick pads or alternative methods?

Use heat this time, such as a heat gun. Not too hot to melt solder or plastic, but warming the adhesive will make it easier to remove.

Double-sided tape tends to slip away easily. Thermal pads work well instead. Just a shock—really!

It was just the side with the chips, because there were only 4 gigabytes of storage. On one side the em was present, while the other side had the heatsink easily detached—it wasn’t even clinging since it didn’t extend enough. The PCB surface felt smoother than the chips. The new RAM I received has chips on both sides, so I wouldn’t risk it. It’d be better to just use it without any extra layers.
